Did you know?

Parkinson’s Disease can cause both motor and non-motor symptoms, including changes in mood, sleep, and digestion.

Understanding Parkinson's Disease

Parkinson’s Disease is a progressive neurological disorder that primarily affects the brain’s ability to control movement. It occurs when dopamine-producing neurons in the brain gradually decline, leading to symptoms like tremors, muscle stiffness, and slowed movements. As dopamine levels decrease, motor symptoms become more noticeable, and non-motor symptoms such as fatigue, mood changes, and cognitive difficulties may also develop. Over time, these changes can impact daily activities and overall quality of life.

The exact cause of Parkinson’s Disease is not fully understood, but genetics, environmental exposures, and oxidative stress are believed to contribute. Managing the condition often involves a combination of medication, physical therapy, and lifestyle adjustments. Early intervention and regular support can help maintain independence. Integrative wellness approaches are sometimes used alongside standard treatments to address evolving needs.

Symptoms of Parkinson's Disease

Motor symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease often begin with tremors, muscle rigidity, and slowed movement. These changes can make daily tasks such as walking, writing, or buttoning clothes more difficult. Balance issues may increase the risk of falls, and some people notice a reduction in facial expressions or softer speech. Over time, these symptoms may progress and require adjustments in routines.

Non-motor symptoms are also common, including persistent fatigue, depression, and sleep disturbances. Cognitive changes, such as memory difficulties or slower thinking, may develop as the disease advances. Digestive problems like constipation and changes in blood pressure can also occur. These symptoms often fluctuate in intensity and may be influenced by medication or stress.

Some individuals experience increased muscle stiffness or heaviness in the limbs, while others may notice anxiety, mood swings, or a reduced sense of smell. Sensory changes and apathy are sometimes reported. Recognizing these patterns early can help guide supportive care and symptom management. Ongoing monitoring and communication with your healthcare provider are important for adapting to changes.

Traditional Treatments

Conventional care for Parkinson's Disease usually starts with medications that help replace or mimic dopamine in the brain. Levodopa is commonly prescribed, sometimes in combination with other drugs to enhance its effects or address specific symptoms. Physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy are important for maintaining mobility, function, and communication. Regular exercise and structured routines can also support overall well-being. Non-motor symptoms such as depression, sleep disturbances, or constipation may be managed with additional medications or supportive therapies. Lifestyle changes, including a balanced diet and social engagement, can help reduce complications. Some individuals explore complementary therapies, such as IV nutrient infusions, as part of a broader wellness plan. Ongoing communication with healthcare providers ensures that treatment plans are adjusted as needs evolve.

How IV Therapy May Help

IV therapy at The DRIPBaR is designed to deliver targeted nutrients directly into the bloodstream, supporting neurological health, energy metabolism, and antioxidant defenses. This approach allows for consistent dosing and rapid absorption, which may help address fatigue and oxidative stress. Sessions are administered by licensed providers, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience. Many clients appreciate the individualized care and convenience of regular support. Our services are intended to complement, not replace, traditional medical treatments for Parkinson's Disease. We work with each client to understand their goals and adapt therapy plans as needed. While IV therapy may help with energy, cognitive clarity, and overall well-being, results vary and should be considered as part of a comprehensive care strategy. Ongoing education and support are provided to help clients make informed decisions about their wellness.

Nutrient-Based Support for Neurological Health

Certain IV therapies offer targeted nutrients that may help support neurological function, reduce oxidative stress, and promote energy balance for those managing Parkinson’s Disease.

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA)

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) is a powerful antioxidant that supports energy production within mitochondria and regenerates other antioxidants such as vitamin C. Delivered intravenously, it offers rapid absorption to enhance cellular protection and metabolic balance. This therapy helps reduce oxidative stress and supports nerve and tissue health. It is suitable for individuals seeking to improve vitality and overall wellness. The infusion is administered under professional care to ensure safety and effectiveness. Regular treatments may support long-term cellular resilience and energy maintenance.

  • NAD+

Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD) is a crucial coenzyme involved in energy production and DNA repair within cells. This intravenous therapy delivers NAD+ directly to support mitochondrial function and enhance cellular resilience. By bypassing digestive limitations, it offers faster absorption and targeted metabolic support. The treatment may help improve mental clarity, reduce fatigue, and support overall vitality. It is designed for individuals seeking proactive wellness and cognitive enhancement. NAD+ levels naturally decline with age and stress, making replenishment important for maintaining health. This therapy provides a science-based approach to support long-term cellular function.

This place is so amazing. The staff are super helpful with everything. I originally came in unsure about injections, because they seem super sketchy, but they were so helpful in helping me understand my own needs and how each injection works. They aren’t pushy and won’t pressure you into trying something, which a lot of people do at other places or online. They care a lot about making sure you get what your body needs. The pricing is reasonably affordable and service is 10/10.

Jane who works the front desk at the Drip Bar is pleasant. She made sure I was taken care of when I came to use the sauna every time! The sauna is down at Fit factory and she made a point to assist me, reach out, and had a positive attitude every time I speak to her. Also, the NP was kind! I don’t use the IV feature but I might consider it since they are personable!

  • “I am excited to share my experience with The DripBar in Foxboro. Two weeks ago on Sunday I woke up feeling mildly terrible 😞. My throat hurt a lot also. Usually I end up fighting my symptoms with antibiotics and respiratory issues for a month or more… sad but true, i had an event in 7 days and knew I probably would be”
